Authors: Six authors maximum.
Abstract: An unstructured abstract less than 250 words following the general pattern of a structured abstract. Please minimize the use of abbreviations and do not cite references in the abstract.
Keywords: 3-5 keywords, preferably taken from Index Medicus or Excerpta Medica Index.
Word limit: 2000 words maximum (not including abstract, tables, figures, references).
Structure of manuscript: Introduction, Case Report, Discussion and Conclusion.

Introduction

The Introduction section should explain why the case should be revealed and its novelty. Also it has to report the background to the case presentation, its aims, and a summary of the existing literature.

Case Report

This section should include a brief description of the patient’s clinical and demographic details, medical history, symptoms and signs, treatment or intervention, outcomes, and significant details for the imaging diagnosis.

Discussion and Conclusions

This should include a brief summary of the clinical impact or potential implications of the case report, discuss the relevant existing literature, and should state clearly the main conclusions, including an explanation of their relevance or importance to the field.

Tables / Figures: 3 or less (in total). Each part of a multi-part figure is counted toward the maximum allotment, e.g., a figure 1A and 1B are considered 2 figures.
References: 20 or less.

If your manuscript contains any individual person’s data in any form (including individual details, images or videos), consent to publish must be obtained from that person, or in the case of children, their parent or legal guardian. All presentations of case reports must have consent to publish.

You can use your institutional consent form or our consent form if you prefer. You should not send the form to us on submission, but we may request to see a copy at any stage (including after publication).
